Simple CAD-Program, 1999

Client: Bejic Construction Company
Scope: Produce a simple CAD-Program

This project rose out of a discussion how best to define a roof geometry over an irregular basis for an upcoming project.

To show the possible solutions a two-dimensional drawing on paper was not enough. As I did not know how to use CAD-software at that time, but I knew how to program, I wrote a simple piece myself.

It is written in Pascal, compiled for MS-DOS and Windows 98. The resolution is 640x480 pixels. It can show wireframes, lines and polygons. To produce simple standard geometries, for instance cones, additional functions were added, which could produce a wireframe out of a given set of parameters.

It is controlled only by keyboard, so the definition of new geometries is quite uncomfortable.

The models are shown in 3d, with a free rotation around all axes and the possibility to switch between isometric and perspective view.
